OUR WEDDING THEME

BUTTERFLY

It denotes metamorphosis... life... change... maturity...

I personally loved butterflies because I compare myself to a butterfly. From a lava in a coccoon, I grew up, got out of the coccoon, had wings and flew to my dreams. I love freedom (who doesn't?). Just like our love... it changes the way we see our lives. We were both carefree flying in our own lives until we find each other... the LOVE that grows within us is so intoxicating that neither of us wanted to get out of it.

We became responsible for each other. We grew together in maturity and thus, changes our ways.

THE BRIDGE

We are surviving the long distance relationship because of technology. We share our everyday whereabouts with the aid of the camera. I see what he is doing and he sees what I am doing. Cool!!! We cant feel the absence though we are miles apart physically, our thoughts and hearts are intertwined that we feel so close to each other. FAITH, TRUST and LOVE is what keeps us Going.... and of course PRAYERS!

TRIAL MAKE UP

I had my trial make up with the artist we called MAMA RENE! I dont know where she came from. hahahah! I met him when I had my first fitting with Fred Alba. He is pricey but we just dont have a choice thats why we get his service for Joy and Val's pre nup in LA MESA ECOPARK. And so, being joy's maid of honor I also had my trial make up just to know if i will be beautiful enough to be one hehehe!!!

TAKE A CLOSER LOOK of MY BEAUTIFUL WITHOUT THE MAKE UP!

THEN...

Is my beautiful face improved? The picture was taken after the make up session (no hairdo)...just a make up with the use of a loose powder. huh?

AND THE FINALE!

Now, its time for a pictorial! Have to ask the photographer to take a picture of me so as to have a shot taken by a professional. And here, such a beauty heheheh!!! Praise myself... who else will do!!!???

DIY BOXES FOR THE SPONSORS

Another DIY. A box for our tokens for the sponosrs. I bought the brown boxes from divisoria; bought a spray paint from handyman and there you go... A purple box with a purple ribbon and a butterfly accent.

WEDDING PILLOWS (Ring & Arrhae)

Another DIY stuff made from the heart. I changed the color made by my coutourier into purple and incorporated the wedding theme. And here, the pillows for the ring and the arrhae. Another accomplishment by me with the help of one of my secondary sponsor, my cousin oche. It feels so good accomplishing something that brings joy to my heart just because this is what i envisioned. This is what i like to happen and had been bring to life the product of my imagination.

WEDDING CORD

Being the OC bride and a trying hard DIY queen for my wedding stuff, I tried to incorporate my wedding theme even to the cord provided by my coutourier. And here it is, a sweatless effort of the new cord with a butterfly embellishment, the center is the heart shaped glass. I came up with this idea because being a butterflies that we are, we become one. One heart and one soul united in love (represented by the heart shape glass)... It is the transformation of ourselves because of the love that will bind us from here to eternity.

ENGAGEMENT RING

I got my engagement ring March 26, 2008. I chose it personally from the range of rings vary from engagement ring, wedding rings with different kind of stones and embellishments. I chose a 14k white gold solitaire engagement ring. So simple and No one would ever notice it unless it sparks under the light.

HUBBY BARONG SUIT

This is the model of the barong i chose for my future hubby. I like its intricate design except for the color. The color of the lining will be purple and the flower design will be gold. The fabric to be used is pina jusi (the cheapest one! We are cost-cutting hehe). I hope i am not overdecorating it. Well, lets just wait and see the final result.

TOKENS FOR THE NINONGS

WE initially thought of giving our male sponsors the same tokens for the ninang but it ran out of stock so we have to find another one. It was so difficult finding something for the ninongs.. Then i stumbled on these bottle openers (most of the male sponsors are alcoholic just like my dad hehe). PERFECT! WE will just have it engraved with our names bearing on the other side). Also, Ricky got a shot glass from ALASKA. Great find yehey! A bottle opener and a shot glass... just so perfect for the alcoholics hahahaha!!! BTW, the picture of a shot glass is still on its way since ricky cant take a pic of it yet since his camera was stolen) wehehe!!! TOAST TO THE BRIDE AND GROOM NInongs!

TOKENS FOR THE NINANG

Before Ricky proposed to me, I already love this ceramic plate with a japanese girl printed as a design. When we sent something here in Phils, i bought one pair of the plate for mama. I wrapped it in a bubble bag so it wont get broken (and thanks God its still in its shape). So when ricky proposed and we started planning out for the wedding, I instantly thought of getting this ceramic plates for the sponsor without me anticipating that it will be a burden to me going home since i planned of just carrying this. (kwento on the next paragraph) I initially wanted to buy 10 boxes and that is good for 10 pairs of sponsors (each box housed 2 ceramic plates) but when i was about to buy it, the store had only 6 boxes left and so i had to think of other alternative. I didn't find any. So, the last recourse was, to get the 6 boxes (that is 12 pcs) only for the female sponsors.
Now, its home sweet home. I didn't realize how hard it is carrying such fragile stuff until I was alone striding around the fukuoka airport carrying all these heavy plates inside my hand carried luggage. One hand carrying the paper bag of chocolates (i cursed that kisses for my cousins!), and on my shoulder, the laptop bag and i was dragging the small but heavy suitcase. Gosh! I could just had listened to auntie when she told me to just put those in the box to be sent to Philippines. I refused just because i was afraid it might come out the box torn into pieces (horrible imagination). WHew! Such a burden but its all worth it cause i know our ninangs will love the plate (with a chopstick of course) hehehe!!! happy eating! OISHI eh?

A GIFT FROM A NINANG

This is the very first gift we received from a dear ninang. SIS GING VILLADOR. She is a former colleague of mine, a very good friend and a confidante. She is a nun and now, she is back to her mission. I miss her so much. There are so many things i miss about her: she always brings food to school (good for 6 persons) hehehe. We used to eat inside the faculty room because of the limited time for breaks. So we have sometimes to bring "baon". So, sis ging do it for us. I miss that pipino (a stress reliever according to her). And the coffee breaks we shared with nyla and archie.
Oh, she is not the conservative type of nun! SHe is more of a modern day nun whom you can see mingling with students, chatting with them, exchanging jokes (even if its a green joke hehehe). She was an instant celebrity upon setting foot in school. I adore her and love her so much... (love u sis ging)!!! You will always be in my heart wherever you are...

GIFT FOR THE ENTOURAGE

These are the wrapped gift for my entourage. I forgot to take a picture what's inside (the forgetful me). What's inside every box is a color changing mug which is very much useful for them especially most of my party since most of then are students living in a dorm. I was so undecided what to give them but when I saw these stuff in a store, i fell inlove with it especially the design is so kikay! just like me!!! I hope that they will appreciate this...

These are the gown sketches made for me by Mr. Frederick Alba. He's a find by my friend. Well, I so love the sketches. I know that it will look good on me. My hubby even thought its perfect. Yet, we have to see the final output. And viola, we never go wrong. It was more than I expected.

I had been working on this project for quite a while and really figured out how to use powerpoint in making the save the date card to be given to our principal sponsors, bridesmaids and to our family abroad.
I just have a hard time choosing which save the date im going to print. Or maybe I can print all of them? hmmmm... decision making???
Anyhow, i am very proud that I really made these.

This is one of my DIY project which i really worked hard on after figuring out how to use powerpoint to create our save the date for the sponsors without spending much. Im so proud of the outcome though I know its not as good as the work of professionals but I could proudly say, its my job well done.

The Wedding Preparation

My Wedding Gown
The moment i was asked by my hubby to be to marry him, we scouted for many couturier who could be able to make a life out of the little picture of a bridal gown that could perfectly matches my personality and I could say that i am the most beautiful bride because I am wearing the gown perfectly made for me.
I asked my friends who knows some designers who can make justice to what i envisioned. And there, one of my friend stumbled upon this great designer who does some designs for the beauty pageants. Right away, hubby and I decided to get his service though its quite pricey. We never argued with what the price is. The only concern my hubby asked me was, Will I be happy with the outcome? Without so much thought, I said yes. He sent the money right away for the downpayment. But something happened. The trusted friend of mine used the money without telling me what happened. She was gone for quite sometime and just showed up when i was about to go home to Phils. I was mad but can't do anything about it but to let it go. When my bestfriend Joy arrived Phils (she was about to give birth) looked for my designer's contact number and visited the shop.
When i arrived Phils., the first thing I did was to visit the shop and have the gown fitted for some alteration. I was in awe with how my gown turns out. It was so beautiful. I didn't get it yet even if it was already done because I have to wait for hubby's arrival. Some things happened (maybe it was for a reason) that we had financial problem so I can't get the gown yet. It was until my aunt's arrival for vacation that I finally got my gown. I didn't bother to look for it anymore and had just hide the box. It was until everything went well that I finally opened it and had it fitted by my cousin who is by chance has the same size like me.
Now, Im so happy that I have my dream wedding gown to be worn in my dream wedding.
